How We Verify Your Identity:

Before we can issue your first IDGO card, we will need to verify your identity:

Digital Check

If you've got a valid photo ID, we can check it out digitally to verify your identity. Easy, right?

Referee Option

Don't have a valid photo ID handy? No problem! Just grab a referee to help you out.

We accept two types of referees:

Those who can verify your original documents

Those who can confirm your details from official records.

Digital Check

We accept the following original photo ID documents if they bear a recent likeness to you and state your current name:

Passport (UK or International)

Photo Driving Licence (UK or European)

European National ID Card

Referee Requirements

Professionals like doctors can check your details against official records, like NHS records, at their workplace.

Professional Recognition

They must work in a recognised profession with verifiable business details that are listed in online professional business directories.

Availability: Your referee should be reachable at their registered business address via email and their work phone number during standard office hours, Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. We'll definitely give them a call!

No Personal Relationship

Your referee must:

Be aged 18 or over;
Not be related to you;
Not be in a personal relationship with you;
Not live at the same address as you;
Know you in a capacity that enables them to verify your identity.

Your referee cannot be a family member or someone in a personal relationship with you. This includes (but is not limited to) parents, guardians, foster carers, siblings, spouses, civil partners, fiancés, boyfriends, girlfriends, or anyone residing in the same household.

Awareness and Declaration:

Your chosen referee needs to be aware of your application and the reference they're providing. After you finish uploading your documents online, they'll need to complete the Digital Referee Declaration Form.
